A Christian Entrepreneur Should Be Fruitful and Multiply

A Christian entrepreneur should know that God expected Adam to be fruitful and multiply. The blessing of God comes with this command. God is interested in productivity. He is not interested in lazy people and excuses.

The parable of three servants give us glimpse of what God expects from each one of us. The first servant receives 5 talents, the second 2 talents and the third 1 talent. He gives these to invest and take care while he is away, expecting a return on these investments.

The first servant trades with it and makes a 100% and has 10 talents now. The second servant also produces like wise and has 4 talents now. But the third servant is lazy and full of excuses and buries it in the ground. He decides to return that back to the master without any profits.

The master returns and praises the first and second servants for their faithfulness and productivity. He is angry with the third servant for not even investing in the bank to give him the least possible return. He takes the talent from him and gives to the first servant and the third servant is punished.

You cannot be fruitful without putting in serious efforts. A farmer who plants should nurture the plant. He must water, fertilize and prune the plant to bear fruit. This period of nurturing is certainly hard work. Most have to work in scorching heat with perspiration. They do get tired and weary. But they keep at it day after day.

When you have done all you can leave it to God to give you the results of your hard labor. Fruitfulness is the reward for hard work and diligence. Once you become fruitful then the multiplication will begin. If you are not fruitful there is nothing to multiply.

God can only work with what you bring to the table. If you are lazy and did not put in any effort to bear fruit, he also will not bless you nor reward you. You will be treated like the third servant who hid the talent God gave.

We all have some measure of talents that God has given us. The bible says in the case of three servants that God gave to each one according their abilities and capabilities. When God determines that you have the ability to do something you have no excuse. There are millions who do not take efforts to find out what they can and cannot.

Most just ignore their abilities settle for some thing far less. Laziness and lack of motivation is the number cause for many to settle for just a job. They could have done far better and produced much more than in a job day after day. If they had taken the time, risk and effort to venture into business on their own, God would have blessed then abundantly.

If you are a Christian entrepreneur pat yourself on the back. You have taken the first step to launch out into deep. All you need now is to be diligent and put all the efforts you can into the business and nurture it. God will reward you in due season.
