  1. We have a lot of fat white women in America who expect to snatch Chad Thundercock. They are pretty gross and hate slim oriental girls

  2. The guy from Ohio hit on the head here in the US we have a bigger sports culture and pays off because we won the world baseball classic and baseball
is back in Olympics Tokyo 2020 here we come US is going to win Gold In Both baseball and softball

  3. Ive worked as medical fitnesstrainer in Japan for a orthopedics Hospital. I felt my self more as a entertainer. Of course my clients were Obasan and Ojisan but i always felt some kind off negative repulsive behave. The American dude explains perfectly what Japanese people think. Just becaus you have so muscles and take you nutrition and workout serious. I always thought as a Trainer i should look good to be a good example.

  4. Well I think their health or diet is more about what they do or don’t eat and drink, that is why going to gym is not a thing for them

  5. It’s not just a Japanese issue it’s an Asian issue there just isn’t much of a culture in Japan and Asia when it comes to fitness. Fitness makes you stronger, more confident, more productive, more happier, healthier, better looking it’s not just about losing weight and looking good but also about using our bodies. Our bodies are not designed to sit for long periods of time just like animals we are also meant to use our bodies.

  6. I'm not really surprised by anything in this video, although it is interesting to note that Japan always sends a big team to international powerlifting events. Looks like the IPF has a major event in Tokyo in May. Maybe Nobita should go and interview some people there.

  7. I was just thinking that maybe the martial arts way of life and focus on internal/external development can be a mental block to engaging a fitness culture. Beginning with the spiritual traditions of Buddhism and the like.

Gym fitness may seem to be a mostly "external" activity with a focus on just looking externally developed for bragging, without necessarily a deeper purpose or value to it.

It could subconsciously look like that to people, just like the mother of the American speaker in the video who felt that he was a narcissist, as he put it.

  8. Hi Nobita ? it’s easy to get a job in the fitness sector for foreign people?! Do you some experiences or informations for me?
    Thank you ??

  9. In my experience, the thinner someone is, the less motivation they have to work out. They might like the idea of exercising and getting more fit or toned, but don't have the drive to really go out and do it. It's the people that are overweight, or much more displeased in themselves who find reason to start taking care of themselves. So in Japan, beauty standards preferring thin over athletic, being on average thinner than western nations, and just being more expensive (less land / higher rent costs for fitness facilities, needing to import equipment, supply & demand, etc), I'm really not surprised how few Japanese get into fitness as something more than a casual high school hobby.

  10. As interesting as this subject is, but I was hoping for norms or what foreigners ( or uni students) should/can do at gyms? I’m still culturally confused

  11. Nobita, I am a huge fan of your videos. I cannot properly express how much appreciation for the knowledge and entertainment your videos provide. Thank you for all the work you put in, I personally appreciate it. ありがとうございます!

  12. Frank Arrietta

I have a very high quality of life because of my fitness. Japanese men would do well to get fitter. Maybe you guys will start fucking more if you look more fuckable.

  13. This was really interesting to me as I love weightlifting and am considering teaching out in Japan – I wasn't sure at all what the attitude in Japan was like in regards to weight training/the gym in general. Thanks for uploading this video!

  14. Rabbit Town Productions

I’m entirely shocked this channel exists…. and popped up “trending”. Plus I’m intrigued. ?

  15. the school theory is stupid. australia doesnt really have these high school sports or gyms and the industry is just as big here. obviously not on the whole because we have a smaller population but adjusted for population im sure its even bigger.

  16. that white dude works out because hes tiny. hes smaller than the japanese guy. i dont know what sport he woulda played. looks like he weighs 140lbs

  17. Baron_O'Beefdip

Hmm… was feeling a little down today, and was thinking of skipping my workout today, but reading the comments made me want to do it. Thanks, youtube!

  18. Mm. Here in Spain fitness is also often recommended as a way of helping with depression. It is a healthy way to release endorphins and adrenaline which help to improve your mood, and it also creates a sense of accomplishment which is also good for mood and self-esteem. Gym definitely helps me with my mood.

    Nobitaさんはじめまして。私は本当にNobitaさんのビデオを見るのが好きです。ありがとうございます。

  20. Japanese work too much. Period. And martial arts is HUGE in Japan, why wouldn't Athletics be huge also. Such a contradiction.

  21. Nobita ~ the first girl you spoke with is cute:) Let's get her to go on a run or to the gym!! You are the best!

  22. I tried to continue lifting when I visited Japan last year, but no gym was willing to work with me, even the Anytime Fitness branch. In America and many other places, you can pay $5 or $10 a day if you just want to drop by and keep your program going.

  23. ThorgalsWalhalla

i think it s mostly because japanese have such bad genetics for working out. i think very low on testosterone but high on oestrogen?

  24. I hope Japanese people lift and exercise more often. It helped me overcome depression and gain confidence as an individual.

  25. Im from the US. More people go to the gym here because we are superficial and obsessed with looks. Its not even about health for most people. Can't tell you how many times I'd see these huge buff men walk out from the gym and immediately light up a cigarette. Same with many of the women. So IMO, America is a very shallow country and the majority of gym rats are there solely to look fit. They couldn't care less if they're healthy.

Plus I will add many Americans try to counteract their horrible diets with hard exercise. They will eat absolute junk all the time but workout hard 2 hours a day to "make up for it". Japanese people tend to eat healthier so theres no need to do that

  26. i was a fucking skinny 30 years of my life, then i know the gym i loved and i will never leave again! i hope all mexicans, americans and japanese try it cuz is the best of this live, YOU RULE! when you are strong! and japanese ppl need gym to distress of his work, its necessary to not kill himselves…
